Génisig is digital signature application developped in partnership with Microsoft for the engineering industry. Génisig allows organisations to digitaly sign any electronic documents designed with Microsoft Word or other applications such as Autocad or Acrobat. Génisig is designed to respond to the requirements of Canada's Bill C-161 regarding IT legal aspects. With Génisig, you can:

• Generate a digitaly signed document, with a legaly binding electronic signature, directly from your core application such as Word, Autocad or Acrobat;
• Confirm and verify the signature and the integrity of the document;
• Ensure non-repudiation of the exchange;
• Use token-based digital certificate, or biometrics, for incresed security;
• Publish the document to web-based check-in, check-out portal integrated into the Génisig infrastructure;
• Generate log and audit trail of any signed documents.

Génisig is a client/server application that integrates into your existing Active Directory infrastructure. It is fully compatible with existing digital certificate infrastructure (Microsoft CA, RSA, Verisign, etc) and easily deploy to your users. With Génisig, you can now sign and validate engineering diagrams and plans without resorting to printing and physical signature.

Génisig API

The Génisig API is an Application Programming Interface designed to integrate digital signature functions in any applications developped in C++, .Net or VB6. The API is based on Microsoft's Windows CAPI crypto services and allows for the introduction of the following functions:

• Generating digital signatures from the cryptographic information contained in a hardware token;
• Authentification of the signee;
• Data integrity verification;
• Verification and viewing of the digital certificate;
• Digital certificate revocation and validity check.
